It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I love the spirit, the traditions, the lights, the decorations, and especially the Christmas tree. Every year I start to decorate our home during Thanksgiving week. I like to have the decorations up early to get into holiday spirit. (Come January 2nd I’m ready to put everything away though.) For the entryway, I used a mixture of faux and live wreaths. I love the look of a simple live wreath with beautiful ribbon. It’s also a bonus that it’s budget friendly (especially when you buy the ribbon on sale). I took the below picture at …

3 Inexpensive Ways To Freshen Up Your Home
Every January, after I’ve taken down the Christmas decorations, I get the itch to redecorate my home. I’m not talking about a complete re-design, mind you. That would be super fun, but not realistic to do every year. Instead I do a few simple things to give my home a fresh look. Our Home for Christmas
I love decorating our home for Christmas. Every year I do things slightly differently. You may recognize some of the decorations from last year or the year before, but I also bought some new things from Michael’s store and Pottery Barn. You can’t really tell from the photo but it’s got sparkles on the leaves. Pretty much everything I bought has glitter on it so needless to say I …
Home for the Holidays
Are you gearing up for the holidays? I’ve been busy baking cookies (tons and tons), but I thought I’d pause for a moment to share what it looks like in our home for Christmas. Some decorations are new and some are from last Christmas (or past years). This year marks the third year in our home. Every year my husband and I get our tree on Thanksgiving weekend. That was a tradition that started with my family when I was kid. Nothing beats that smell of fresh pine. Every ornament has a memory or story associated with it, even the ones …
Blue and White
It’s all about the blues and whites, baby. My home looks quite different since the last time you saw it at Christmas time. After I put those decorations away I had a blank slate to welcome a fresh new look. A few weeks ago I saw the blue and white floral vase (pictured below) at Home Goods and I thought it was beautiful. It put me in a cheery mood and I thought it would be a great way to welcome the warmer weather. Folks, I had found my inspiration piece for the new look. The candle, books, gold bowl and picture frame are …
