This is heaven in a cup, for two. Picture a chocolate chip cookie straight from the oven, except it’s cooked in a bowl and it’s got a gooey center and that’s what you have here. If you like chocolate chip cookies or chocolate or ice cream with cookies then you’ll love these. I made these cookie bowls for two reasons. One, there aren’t many ingredients, and the amount you need of each isn’t a lot. Two, my husband loves chocolate chip cookies (he says they are his favorite cookie) so I thought he’d love this variation. Okay maybe there is …

Rizogalo – Rice Pudding
Have you ever had rice pudding? I don’t mean store bought vanilla pudding with rice mixed in. I mean the real deal. There are a ton of rice pudding recipes out there but I’m partial to this recipe for several reasons. First, I like the texture. This is not a custard and not a porridge. Instead, this rice pudding is more like a bowl of rice with very thick and sweet milk. I’m not sure if that makes sense so hopefully my pictures give you a better idea of the texture. Cauliflower and Hummus
Like many of you, my husband and I have tried to adjust to a “stay at home” life. We haven’t left our home unless it’s to the grocery store and even then we limit our trips to way less than before the quarantine. In fact, recently Google Maps told me about my month of travel and the actual highlight (and only place I’d been) was the grocery store. Needless to say the cooking is a little different lately. We’ve always been big on cooking or baking at home instead of going out, but lately our meals are a bit repetitive …
Sourdough – Bread (75% Hydrated)
Hello everyone, it’s Dave. It is my intention to provide sourdough bread recipes that are actually recipes. Each recipe will provide you a convenient link to the Sourdough Index which has links to several educational and process related posts that don’t belong with the recipes. For information about the things I used to make these, the Sourdough Equipment post is where you can go for all the details. Each recipe will be named in a way that gives you a good sense of how it is made, because the process is essentially identical even with several variables all being changed. …
Beans and Pasta Caesar Salad
It’s starting to feel like Spring with warmer temperatures and I’m craving salads. I still crave pizza and ice cream, but it’s all about moderation. In the meantime, I’m going to take advantage of my salad obsession while it lasts. I wanted a healthier Caesar salad, i.e. remove the buttery croutons (which is arguably the best part of a Caesar salad). I replaced them with little pasta shells. Pasta added to lettuce salad is surprisingly wonderful. I don’t feel like I’m eating a “salad.” Keep in mind that this is not a pasta salad though, it’s just got essence of …
