Beer Bread

Who is intimidated to work with yeast?  Hello out there?  I know that I’m not the only one.  It’s temperamental and I since I don’t have experience working with it, I’d second guess every step of the recipe.  Perhaps I’m not inclined to experiment with it since I have a husband who loves to make bread (and he’s awesome at it).  He actually likes that it’s a bit of an art to judge what is going on biologically when making bread.  Go figure.  Whether we are a hosting a dinner party or want to make homemade pizza for two, it’s a no brainer that my husband …

Fall In Love With Fall

Fall is my favorite season for many reasons!  I was married in October and in fact we’ll be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary next month.  We’re going to Quebec City for a long weekend and I cannot wait!     🙂 I love the weather this time of year.  When else can I wear a t-shirt with a scarf?     😉 I adore the Fall/Winter fashion trends, like blazers and sweaters.  I’ve started to pull some pieces from the back of my closet that I haven’t seen since I bought them on clearance last year.  It’s like I’m going shopping in my closet. Almond Cranberry Granola Poppers

Are these cookies? Are they miniature granola bars?  Call them whatever you want, but I call them amazing!  I love, love, love “things”.  Shocker, I know.  I post a ton of cookie recipes and I’m still on my quest to lose those last darn 10 pounds.  Not the best combo when you think about it.  I wanted to create something that would satisfy a sweet craving and I wouldn’t feel guilty eating it. I used my Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola Bar recipe for inspiration, replaced parts of it with healthier goodies and turned it into these crazy amazing bite …

Fashion Trend: Black, White & Gold

Fashion Week in New York City has just ended.  Seeing all the fabulous designs has reminded me how much I love fashion and it’s inspired me to write a post about it.  I’ve focused on food lately because I love to cook, I love to eat, and frankly it gets me the the most feedback.  However, I realized that some of my other passions, like fashion and home decor, have taken a back seat to food.  (And specifically baked goodies.)  That’s okay.  It’s my blog and I can do whatever I want.  (As my husband points out fairly regularly.)   …
