Mini M&M Cookies

Cookies are always a good idea.  If you read my blog you’ve probably heard me say that before. Last Sunday, I celebrated Greek Orthodox Easter.  There was SO much food and it was all so delicious.  Easter is my favorite holiday when it comes to food.  My mom makes traditional Greek dishes like pastitsio, spanakopita, lamb, potatoes, and tzatziki.  I’ve been known to make a pretty mean pastitsio and spanakopita, too.  😉 Tsoureki (Easter bread)  and koulourakia (Easter cookies) are two of my favorite things of all time.  All time.  I’m rationing out the last few kouralakia that my mom gave me to try to …

M&M Sugar Cookie Bars

Who has leftover Easter candy? We have a boat load of pastel colored M&Ms.  I don’t know exactly how much a boat load is but it sounds like a lot.  Last week I wanted a normal size bag of M&Ms but the grocery store only had the ginormous size available.  The only downside with having leftover candy is that I want to sneak an M&M (or a few) whenever I pass by the bowl of them on the kitchen counter.  Is that really a downside?  😉 My husband and I spent Easter day with his family.  I like to give …

Gingerbread Man Cookies

I love holiday traditions. There is something about the holidays that brings out so many family traditions.  I love to reminisce with my family about some of the traditions that we had when I was a kid.  Just the other day I was talking to my parents about how we always started Christmas morning.  My three sisters and I would sit on the stairs waiting for my dad to give the okay that we could come into the room with all the presents.  Every single year he’d say “Sorry girls, it looks like Santa didn’t come.”  Then we’d have some …

Soft Frosted Eggnog Cookies

I hope you’re not sick of seeing cookie recipes here because I’ve been on a mad baking spree lately.  ‘Tis the season.  🙂 Are you a fan of eggnog?  I love the stuff.  I usually have only a glass or two of eggnog over the holiday season because I feel guilty having it.  It’s not exactly health food, but hey, it’s the holidays and calories don’t count, right?  😉 On a random side note, if you’re looking for a last minute stocking stuffer, I absolutely recommend the Oxo Good Grips Medium Cookie Scoop.  I have the small cookie scoop, too, but …

Peppermint Chip Chocolate Cookies

I love peppermint candies, chocolates, and assorted treats. There is something festive and comforting about eating peppermint around Christmas time.  Who else loves this stuff?  I think it’s one of those things that you either love or hate. Do you remember the candy cane chocolate sticks that I mentioned last week?  I have some leftovers sitting at my hot cocoa station in the kitchen.  I really should use them but they look so pretty that I don’t want to ruin the look.  (Typical T.) Anyway, since I have cookie baking on the brain, I decided to take one of my favorite chocolate cookie recipes and added white chocolate peppermint …
