Christmas 2021

Seasons greetings and welcome to our home for the holidays! If you’ve seen previous holiday seasons here at the home of Tina’s Chic Corner, then many of the decorations might look familiar to you. I like to re-use my decorations in different ways and in different rooms in order to give the items new life. Plus, I have fun creating new looks. One of the reasons why I start decorating the week before Thanksgiving is because I like to move bits and bobs around until it feels right. The entry way greets you with a warm winter feel. I used …

Christmas 2019

Seasons greetings! I’m the kind of person who starts listening to Christmas music right after Halloween. (Don’t judge.) I also like to start decorating the home for Christmas around Thanksgiving. Since Thanksgiving was late this year, I pulled out the bins the week before Thanksgiving. My husband wasn’t exactly thrilled because he prefers his holidays to be in the normal order. Christmas 2017

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  I love the spirit, the traditions, the lights, the decorations, and especially the Christmas tree.  Every year I start to decorate our home during Thanksgiving week.  I like to have the decorations up early to get into holiday spirit.  (Come January 2nd I’m ready to put everything away though.) Our Home for Christmas

I love decorating our home for Christmas.  Every year I do things slightly differently.  You may recognize some of the decorations from last year or the year before, but I also bought some new things from Michael’s store and Pottery Barn. This year I went with a mostly white wintry theme. I arranged some faux branches to make this arrangement.  It took me three attempts before I was sort of happy with it.  You can’t really tell from the photo but it’s got sparkles on the leaves.  Pretty much everything I bought has glitter on it so needless to say I …

Blue and White

It’s all about the blues and whites, baby.  My home looks quite different since the last time you saw it at Christmas time.  After I put those decorations away I had a blank slate to welcome a fresh new look. A few weeks ago I saw the blue and white floral vase (pictured below) at Home Goods and I thought it was beautiful.  It put me in a cheery mood and I thought it would be a great way to welcome the warmer weather.  Folks, I had found my inspiration piece for the new look. The candle, books, gold bowl and picture frame are …
