Homemade Peanut Butter

I love peanut butter, so I always have a jar of it in the house.  There are some store-bought brands that I adore but they contain artificial ingredients and sugar.  In an effort to eat more all-natural and healthy foods I tried some organic peanut butter brands.  For a lack of better words, they tend to be gross and “blah.”   Yup, that’s a technical term.     😉  I hate how the oil separates from the peanut paste even when it’s stored in the refrigerator.  Plus it’s so thick that it’s not tasty or enjoyable to eat. Homemade Granola

Granola is awesome.  Yup, that’s a fact.     😉   Let’s see.  It’s tasty and it can be eaten in a variety of ways to suit your mood. I used to eat store-bought granola all the time until I started reading labels.  Many of the ones in the store are full of sugar, fat, and processed ingredients.  What?!  I was shocked.  A food that is typically sold as “healthy” isn’t always so.  That taught me it is important to read food labels.  Most store-bought granola isn’t doing me any favors on my weight loss journey, so I stopped eating …

Honey Cinnamon Roasted Chickpeas

I’ve got the munchies and I need a snack!  I would love a chocolate chip cookie (or two) right about now and even my husband has been nudging me to make a batch.   I’ll make cookies some other time and share them with you then, but for now the healthy snack wins.  For now, what I need is something I can nosh on that won’t blow my calorie intake.  Oh and of course it HAS to be delicious too.
