I’m looking for a low maintenance day. You know, the kind of day where you could make relaxation into a sport? I know just the way to start it off. An easy healthy smoothie for breakfast, like this one.
This refreshing smoothie is a great way to enjoy raspberries which are my favorite berries.
Raspberry Vanilla Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1 cup raspberries, frozen
- 1/2 of an apple
- 2 teaspoons honey

- Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend them until the mixture is smooth.

One step directions! I like where this is going already. One no fuss smoothie coming right up! Bada boom, a pretty pink drink at your service. 🙂
I love raspberries and they really shine here. I took fresh ones and popped them in the freezer. It’s not required that you use fresh ones that you’ve frozen. Raspberries from the frozen section will also work perfectly and are easy to get any time of the year. You can also just use fresh ones, but I like that they bring a little extra cold to the party so you aren’t just relying on the ice to keep the blender from making it a warm smoothie.
The sweetness from the apple and honey help to balance out the tart raspberries. It’s almost like drinking a dessert smoothie at breakfast time. Bonus. 😉
Now I know that I said that this smoothie is healthy, but it’s really a matter of how you interpret “healthy” into your lifestyle. While there is no added “sugar” here, there are obviously sugars in both the honey and the vanilla yogurt.
The vanilla Greek yogurt adds great taste, but more importantly it’s packed with protein. Yay for protein. As the only dairy in the smoothie it is also the source of creamy smoothness.
I wish all my mornings could start off this smooth and easy. Get it? Smooth? 🙂
Here are some other fantastic smoothies.
What a gorgeously pink smoothie! I love how classic and simple it looks. I would so love to start my day with one of these!
Thanks so much Sarah!
Looks delicious! Love the pink color, that would certainly perk me up in the morning. 🙂
Hehe…love that. 🙂
Hope you are having a relaxing memorial day! This smoothie looks delicious and refreshing, what a perfect way to enjoy the day off!
Thanks so much, Cate! The weekend went by so fast. I hope you had a great one. 🙂
I love a quick and tasty breakfast like this! Super refreshing for the warmer months, and simple to make with ingredients already in the fridge!
I absolutely agree! Thanks Alyssa. 🙂
I love smoothies – especially pretty pink ones. And I’m down for dessert for breakfast 🙂
Rock on! 🙂
I love the addition of honey to this smoothie. It looks so good, perfect for Summer!
Thanks Matt!
All I want to do right now is make sweet things but I need to fit into my swim suit! This smoothie sounds like the perfect way to satisfy my sweet tooth the healthy way!
I hear ya and I’m in the same boat! I found that this smoothie satisfied my sweet craving and I didn’t have to feel guilty about it. 🙂
So pretty in pink… love smoothies for breakfast or really any time of the day. Take Care, BAM
Thanks so much Bam!
If relaxation were a sport, I would be in the olympics!!! Fun fact, I didn’t like raspberries until last summer! How did I go so long without them was my first reaction!!!
Haha…Olympics…you are too funny! I had no idea that you were only a recent fan of raspberries. Welcome to the club. 😉
Low maintenance + smoothie love sounds like a perfect day to me!
Indeed!
This smoothie sounds delicious! Perfect for warm summer mornings : )
Oh yes! 🙂
Raspberries are my favorite so I totally love the idea of mixing it with vanilla. Can’t wait to give this smoothie a taste!
Awesome! I hope you love it just as much as I do. 🙂
That does look like a beautifully smooth way to kickstart the day. It’s a really pretty colour. I love raspberry smoothies and I normally make mine with almond milk. I’ll have to try your version with the Greek yoghurt xx
The almond milk is a great idea to make it dairy free. 🙂
Hahaha… You made me lol, I wish all your days to start off ‘smooth’ too. Big fan of turning relaxation into sport too, although my days of rest and relaxation generally mean I eat instant foods, wish I could work the motivation up to be ‘good’ like you. Love smoothies tho, so I may not make for breakfast, but reckon I can make it happen at some point in my day. Thanks for the reminder about quick and simple yummies. 🙂
I hear ya! 🙂
Hello gorgeous! Vanilla adds such a nice touch to all things and I love it in smoothies. The raspberries really do get to shine here! Love this easy, yet stunning treat, Tina!
You always say the nicest things. 🙂 Thank you, my friend!
I love the beautiful color of this smoothie. Don’t you just love when you can get such wonderful colors without anything artificial?! I do 😀
Absolutely! 🙂
