Welcome to our home for the 2023 holidays! This year I’m embracing nature, earthy touches, and neutral colors with a touch of traditional reds and greens. Our kitchen tree is an ode to our vacation to Quebec City, Canada because we enjoyed macarons and hot cocoa almost every night in old Quebec. So there are several macaron ornaments on the tree. This summer I found out that I love ferns (mostly because I haven’t killed them yet). It started with one and now I have three. I decided to leave them out on the kitchen table and dress them up …

Christmas 2022
Welcome to our home for the holidays! The kitchen is a busy room in our home, especially this time of the year with all of the cookie baking. I’m glad that we added a Christmas tree last year to this room to make it more festive. I bought a size that I think would work in several rooms but I loved it so much in the kitchen that I set it up in the same spot this year. I think my style this year is pretty similar to least year. I focused on neutrals and nature. I bought this table …
Christmas 2021
Seasons greetings and welcome to our home for the holidays! If you’ve seen previous holiday seasons here at the home of Tina’s Chic Corner, then many of the decorations might look familiar to you. I like to re-use my decorations in different ways and in different rooms in order to give the items new life. Plus, I have fun creating new looks. Seasons greetings! I’m the kind of person who starts listening to Christmas music right after Halloween. (Don’t judge.) I also like to start decorating the home for Christmas around Thanksgiving. Since Thanksgiving was late this year, I pulled out the bins the week before Thanksgiving. My husband wasn’t exactly thrilled because he prefers his holidays to be in the normal order. I have a process that takes time, so I wanted to get started. I like to decorate my home a little differently every year for Christmas and I’m a visual person so I’ll probably decorate an area two or …
Christmas 2017
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I love the spirit, the traditions, the lights, the decorations, and especially the Christmas tree. Every year I start to decorate our home during Thanksgiving week. I like to have the decorations up early to get into holiday spirit. (Come January 2nd I’m ready to put everything away though.) For the entryway, I used a mixture of faux and live wreaths. I love the look of a simple live wreath with beautiful ribbon. It’s also a bonus that it’s budget friendly (especially when you buy the ribbon on sale). I took the below picture at …
