Italian Ricotta Cookies

Are you eating cookies for breakfast, lunch and dinner? This time of the year you’re baking cookies to give away (or to keep for yourself) or receiving cookies or both so it’s definitely socially acceptable to consume cookies all day long.  😉  The question is what will we eat when the holidays are over?  Oh right, salads and smoothies.  You know, because my New Year’s resolution will be to lose weight.  Again.  Until then, I’ll happily eat all the cookies I can get my hands on, including these cookies. These Italian ricotta cookies are one of the best cookies I’ve …

One Layer Chocolate Cake

Are you done with your holiday shopping? I had all my shopping done by December 4th.  I’m not trying to toot my horn or anything.  😉 Although I haven’t wrapped them yet…. I hate that part.  I’m glad that I got my shopping done earlier so that I could focus on entertaining friends and family.  Earlier this month we had friends over and I served a triple layer chocolate pie for dessert.  It’s long gone but I’m still wishing that I had some around.  Gosh, it was fabulous. Triple Layer Chocolate Pie

Guys, this pie is everything! This is probably the wrong time of the year to share a no-bake pie with you.  You know, because everyone wants those kinds of recipes in the summer time to avoid turning on the oven.  But think of it this way… if you make this pie now then you can use the oven time for all the other foods on your list, like cookies.  I’m always thinking.  😉 So first and foremost, this pie is ridiculously delicious.  I’m kind of obsessed with it because it’s so tasty. It’s hard to go wrong with chocolate and …

I love to bake cookies for my friends and family for the holidays.  I mean cookies, yum, hello.  I bake different ones each year but I always, always, always bake some kind of peanut butter and chocolate cookie.  This year I’m baking these classic peanut butter blossoms. I bet that you’ve seen these cookies before and maybe you’ve even made them.  They’re the kind of cookie that you make every holiday because it’s tradition (and because they’re …

Slow Cooker Split Pea Soup (Redux)

It’s not easy being green. It’s also not easy taking pictures of green things, but here I am taking photos of a pea soup… again.  This recipe was one of my first ever posts back in March 2013.  How has it been almost four years that I’ve had this blog?!  Crazy talk. In the past I’ve re-posted recipes by highlighting them in my Best Ever series or if I came up with a way to improve the recipe.  Today is a little different.  I’m posting this recipe again because… well, because I want to.  🙂  In all seriousness, it’s because this …
