Christmas 2020

Merry Christmas! I usually start decorating our home during Thanksgiving week, but this year I started even earlier. Maybe right after Halloween? I started with a few pine cones and pine branches in the kitchen and assured my husband that I was only decorating for winter. In truth, that is how it started. I was inspired by this Santa and so I thought I’d go just go with the flow and move him here (and hope that maybe my husband wouldn’t notice Santa made an appearance mid November). Since our dining room has become puzzle central and we’re not entertaining …

Christmas 2019

Seasons greetings! I’m the kind of person who starts listening to Christmas music right after Halloween. (Don’t judge.) I also like to start decorating the home for Christmas around Thanksgiving. My Home Decorated for Christmas 2018

Christmas is less than one week away!  Holy cow December is flying by.  Here’s a peak into how I decorated my home for Christmas this year. My baby sister is getting married in less than 2 weeks!  Cue the tears (happy tears, of course).  A couple of weeks ago my sisters and I threw her bachelorette party.  We started the day with a brunch at my house (I’ll get more to that in a moment).  Then we went to The Hopkins Vineyard where we enjoyed a wine tasting.  Afterwards we enjoyed the beautiful scenery in their cafe with a bottle of wine and cheese platter.  If you’re ever in the area, we highly recommend you stop by.  Then we headed back to my house for a full on …

A Cozy Fall Family Room

Last week I shared with you how I decorated our kitchen for Fall.  Today I’m continuing the tour of our home to show you our cozy Fall family room.  I’m all about being cozied up on the couch under blankets in pajamas and watching Hocus Pocus (which I’ve seen at least three times this season).  And yes, for a change of technique, I’ve taken some of the pictures for this post with my phone.  Sorry if they look a bit funny.  🙂 Candles are a great easy way to create a warm atmosphere.  You’ll see that I placed them placed around the room, …
