Happy Wednesday! Today, I thought that I’d share some of my recent (and random) favorite things with you.
Shirts that are dresses. I love this Express’ shirt dress so much that I bought it in black and in a print. It’s super flattering, comfortable, and versatile. You can wear the dress with heels for a summer wedding or with flats or espadrilles for a more casual occasion. My husband says that this dress looks like a long shirt. He described himself as “the opposite of someone with any fashion sense,” but he’s not wrong. That’s why “they” (the fashion industry?) call this style a shirt dress. Go figure. 😉
New beauty. My youngest sister recently introduced me to Make Up For Ever powder foundation. She is my beauty guru so I had to give it a try. I had my doubts because I have been using Tarte’s face powder for a few years and love it. I thought I’d try something new and it turns out that I love it. I find that it’s easy to apply and doesn’t cake up on your skin.
Shoes, shoes, I love shoes. Block sandals (aka sandals with chunky heels) are on trend and it’s a trend that I’m loving. I bought these Steve Madden Carrson sandals (in black) and Sam Edelman Yaro sandals (in nude). Even though they have a tall heel, they’re actually pretty comfortable. You know, as far as 4 inch heels go. In fact, today I wore the printed shirt dress that I mentioned above with the nude sandals.
Mmm, berries. I’m obsessed with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Literally for the past month my weekday breakfast consists of yogurt, berries (of some variety), and granola. I love Quaker’s granola. I should make granola again sometime because it’s easy and I’ve got some great recipes. If you’re interested in making granola then simply search for “granola” on my blog and you’ll have a few great options.
Second time is a charm. I’ve purchased this Tula face cleanser for the second time and I love, love, love it. I’m obsessed with making sure that my skin is as clean as possible so I’m picky about my face cleansers. I will never go to bed with makeup on. Never. I will be buying this again when I run out.
