Christmas Dining Room 2019 and Tips for Easy Entertaining

This year’s dining room is probably my favorite.  I lined up a collection of trees on the buffet and most of them light up, which adds a warm ambiance at night.  When I use a lot of decorations for the buffet, I like to have a simple center piece on the dinner table.  I used my favorite table runner and lined the center with a variety of sizes of candles.  It’s so simple but I absolutely love the way it came out. I love to entertain during the holidays.  There’s something wonderful about being surrounded by friends, family, and good …

Simple Winter Decor

Taking down the Christmas decorations is bitter sweet.  I’m glad that the task is done but I miss the Christmas tree lights and all of the fun decorations.  I struggle to decide when to take everything down for that same reason.  Leave them up longer and get sick of them or end up with pine needles literally everywhere, or take them down too early and miss them more than I probably should.  It’s a careful balance. My Home Decorated for Christmas 2018

Christmas is less than one week away!  Holy cow December is flying by.  Here’s a peak into how I decorated my home for Christmas this year. Last week I shared with you how I decorated our kitchen for Fall.  Today I’m continuing the tour of our home to show you our cozy Fall family room.  I’m all about being cozied up on the couch under blankets in pajamas and watching Hocus Pocus (which I’ve seen at least three times this season).  And yes, for a change of technique, I’ve taken some of the pictures for this post with my phone.  Sorry if they look a bit funny.  🙂 Candles are a great easy way to create a warm atmosphere.  You’ll see that I placed them placed around the room, …

Easy Fall Kitchen Decor

Do you like to decorate your kitchen for a season or a holiday?  In general, I don’t like a lot of things on my kitchen counters, but I will add a few seasonal touches here and there.  Last month I found so many great items that I thought I’d do an overhaul and show you what my kitchen looks like for Fall. I bought the two white pumpkin pots from the Home Goods store to put one on each side of the stove.  I also bought the vase, small pedestal, and faux hydrangea at the same time, which will be great …
