Spring Decor With Faux Flowers

It’s finally starting to feel like Spring outside, which is good because I’ve had the house ready for Spring since late February.  I start that early for a couple of reasons.  First and foremost, I’m very eager for more light and warmer temperatures come late February into early March so I figure if I bring Spring inside then maybe I’ll start feeling like it really is Spring (even when we have 10 inches of snow).  Second, I’m a visual person so I usually have to rearrange things 2, 3 or 4 times before I’m happy with the way something looks. …

Holiday Entertaining

Happy Monday!  (Although, can it really be happy if it’s a Monday?  😉 )  I don’t usually post on Mondays but there is a whole lot of Christmas goodness going on and I have a lot to share with you. Craving Fall

Is it too early to talk about Fall stuff?  If you think so, then we’ll politely part ways today and we’ll resume this conversation in a month.  🙂  If you think it’s totally cool to talk about Fall even though it’s still August, then we’ve just become BFFs and you should definitely read on. It’s all about the blues and whites, baby.  My home looks quite different since the last time you saw it at Christmas time.  After I put those decorations away I had a blank slate to welcome a fresh new look. A few weeks ago I saw the blue and white floral vase (pictured below) at Home Goods and I thought it was beautiful.  It put me in a cheery mood and I thought it would be a great way to welcome the warmer weather.  Folks, I had found my inspiration piece for the new look. The candle, books, gold bowl and picture frame are …

A Tina’s Chic Christmas

Christmas starts early in our home.  It’s tradition for us to get our tree on the weekend immediately after Thanksgiving.  My husband strings the lights on the tree and I decorate it with the ornaments.  Don’t you love my husband’s game ornaments next to elegant ones?  😉 It takes me most of the day to decorate the tree.  Every ornament has its spot.  I’m kinda finicky that way.  Which now that I think of it, may be why my husband doesn’t want to help. We host lots of holiday dinner parties.  It’s our thing.  This year I used red accents for the dinner …
